ABOUT MEG JOANNIDES
Meg Joannides derives her inspiration from global travel and international design aesthetics bringing a unique sense of style to her work. With a broad base of creative experience in fashion, interior design and architecture, she is known for her environmentally conscious design approach, understated elegance, functionality and luxe design.
Over the last twenty years, her projects have been published in all major shelter magazines and she has received numerous design awards celebrating her projects worldwide.
Meg was born and raised in Northern California and attended UC Santa Barbara and FIDM. After graduating, she started working in contract interior design for a global fashion brand in New York City, where she gained invaluable experience in handling high end scale build outs overseeing design and execution. Meg was eventually drawn back to the West Coast where she launched MLKSTUDIO.
She is currently collaborating on a new line of luxurious bespoke rugs for revolutionary contemporary rug maker Christopher Farr.
Residential Interior Design
MLK STUDIO designs with the client in mind. We believe home is one’s sanctuary and we feel timeless interiors are ones that are not only pleasing to the eye, but are also functional. Each project is tailored to our client’s high expectations of luxury, comfort and elegance.
As a full service interior design firm we undertake residential and commercial projects from ground up construction, to designing bespoke furnishings and completing finishing touches. We work on medium to large scale residential projects, and have completed residences up to 40,000 square feet. MLK STUDIO has completed full scale projects in Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach, Montecito, Malibu, San Francisco, Sun Valley, Hawaii, Toronto, and Dubai.
Commercial Interior Design
We welcome commercial projects such as restaurants, hotels, real estate developments and retail space design. Meg’s vast retail experience while employed by Polo Ralph Lauren and Hugo Boss building out their luxury showrooms worldwide and with hospitality clients such as The Farmer’s Daughter Hotel in Los Angeles, MLK STUDIO is uniquely positioned to undertake commercial project of varying sizes at various stages of construction.
